How to Organize Your Everyday Accessories

Happy Young Couple Moving House

Accessories add the final bit of polish to any outfit. Yet when you’re running late in the morning and all of your necklaces are tangled and you can’t find your other earring, it’s easier just to skip it all. Or maybe you’re fond of hats, but end up wearing the same one all the time because you don’t have a convenient place to store them. If you’ve moved into one of the new homes in Grand Forks ND and want to get your accessories organized once and for all, here are some easy ideas.

Sunglasses are more than just a way to protect your eyes from the sun. They have increasingly become popular accessories for both men and women. If you’re one of the many people who has a growing collection of sunglasses, you probably need a handy way of storing them safely. If you don’t mind a bit of DIY, you can create an easy and stylish way to hang your glasses. Simply take an empty picture frame, attach eye hooks on each side and string some wire between the hooks. Hang your glasses over the wire and they quickly become a work of art. Of course, you can also buy specially designed boxes to store your glasses, protecting them from scratches and dust.

Hats keep us warm in the winter and protect us from the sun during the summer, but they can also take up a lot of space in bedroom and hallway closets. If you have some attractive and stylish hats, put them on display, making them easy to access, without taking up valuable closet space. All you need is a few thumb tacks and your hats can easily become a unique wall hanging. Group them around a mirror, and you can grab one on the go, making sure you look just right.

When it comes to accessories, the old Coco Chanel adage is “Before you leave the house, look in the mirror and remove one accessory.” While you may not want or need to follow this advice, a combination mirror and accessory holder is something all of the new homes in Grand Forks ND should have. Whether you buy one or make your own, a full-length mirror cabinet is the perfect way to store necklaces, bracelets, rings and other accessories in a neat, easily accessible way. Hooks and shelves within the cabinet are hidden behind the swing-out mirror, giving you plenty of storage.

Don’t let your favorite accessories end up in a tangled mess. There are plenty of attractive and affordable ways to give everything a place of its own, ensuring you can enjoy all of your favorite accessories.
