Purchased this home in 2008 we gutted and remodeled it. All new- HVAC ( basement still has in floor heat) Flooring Shingles (home 2008) detached shed (2012) All new bath fixtures,vanities, and counters. All new cabinets and counters in kitchen Installed 3/4 bath in basement 2 new bedrooms in basement Put in concrete drive around with inside landscaping and plantings. 2012 put in ring dike completely surrounding the home and detached shed The dike is 18 inches higher than the surrounding roads. The creek is fed only by snow and rain run off. It has reached the base of the dike in the back yard twice in the 13 years we've lived here. We are not concerned at all about flooding our home any more. The flood insurance policy on the home can be assumed by the new owners. The low rates on the policy are "grandfathered" in but only if the policy is assumed by the new owners. If the existing policy is allowed to lapse a new policy would be at extremely higher rates. We put in the 450-500 sq ft paver patio off the rear of the home along with all the landscaping and perennials. All the windows were replaced by Anderson windows in 2015. All the shades in the home are high end Hunter Douglas. We have a hard wired generator that runs off propane. It kicks in 10 seconds after a power outage and powers all the essential lights and devices (furnace, fridges and freezers, etc) The detached shed measures 24x32 and has in floor heat and an electric heater. The attached garage has in floor heat and a separate gas heater and sink. We've used it for gatherings/parties in the dead of winter. It has an epoxy covered floor. 300 gallon propane tank that is used as needed by the furnace, generator, and fireplace. The furnace is electric plenum heat with propane backup when the off peak kicks in. There are over 100 beautiful mature pine and leaf trees on the property. Removed front porch railing. Painted the brick on the front of the house. Put in a new surface on the porch. New landscaping and paver blocks and rock in front of the house. New kitchen appliances in 2019. Have Midco internet. Dish TV New garage doors including shed in 2015. There are two electrical boxes outside of the ring dyke that were used for Christmas lights.
